Lose Weight Programs Revealed

Lose weight programs are varied and there are hundreds of them. Some promote diet pills, some promote teas, some promote a combination of both but sadly, not all of them are effective or safe.

Some of the most famous lose weight programs are Weight Watchers, South Beach Diet and Nutra System. These are more widely known and to be honest, they all have advantages but they all leave something out, either on purpose or by accident. For example, South Beach diet while based on sound scientific principles, is not something that will be sustainable in the long run. When people are faced to having to use will power, more often than not they will fail.

Weight Watchers has a great foundation in that is based on support group system. You are accountable in front of others and each person offers support. While having a support group is essential to succeed, the Weight Watchers program lacks promoting a combination of sound diet advice and an effective exercise program. In the Weight Watchers system people are allowed to eat cake, ice cream, sodas, beer, etc. They just count the points and off they go. There should be an education process to teach people to make better diet choices like having yogurt with fruit instead of ice cream or cake for instance. There should also be an exercise program included that would help people elevate their metabolism and help them lose weight naturally.

In my opinion, the best lose weight programs are those that combine a solid diet with exercise that includes strength training combined with high intensity cardio. And high intensity means doing something harder than usual for your own fitness level. For someone this might be running at a pace of 7 miles per hour and for someone else this might mean walking at 2 miles per hour instead of
